Seeing to his soul...
Uganda, Africa
November 2007

During this trip Sherill teamed up with 4 other young people that stayed at Welcome Home Africa for 4 months. They were very gracious as we jumped into their group.

One of their trips was a three hour boat each way to a remote island on Lake Victoria. It was as if they had gone back in time hundreds of years. They were also able to spend some time at the Jinja Hospital to pray over the sick. As difficult as it was to see the suffering of the people in that hospital, the blessings were huge.

Our lives are so blessed, we don't even know how blessed we are until we see the lives of destitute people in a third world country. I pray that everyone would have an opportunity some time in their lives to share in this experience. It is life changing every time I go.

Welcome Home Africa OrphangeMuch of our time was spent at Welcome Home with the children. The children love to have visitors and they are hungry for the love and affection that we can provide them. I spent much of my time in my favorite place, the preemie house, holding, feeding, playing, changing and most of all loving Gods precious ones.

Sling BabyThis is what the Lord has put on my heart for the future. To help Welcome Home to raise money to continue the important work that they are doing in Uganda and to help find homes for our orphans in the US. Welcome Home has also connected with a doctor from Loma Linda hospital that is going to help to upgrade the Jinja Hospital. They will be taking teams over to work and teach in the hospital.
